I have been a fan of The Young Gods for over a decade.
I met this Swiss band when my band opened or them in Tulsa.
Their style of rock mixes thunderous drumming (think Zep), aggressive sampling (think early Trent) and majestic vocals (think early Bono). The result is a rich cinematic blend of inspiring rock and roll. T.V. Sky and Only Heaven are considered classics in Europe. They are permanent fixtures in my disc changer.
They have a new album out domestically, Super Ready, and it is one of their finest efforts to date. The songs soar and the sound is organic. Check out track #4 El Magnicfico on their Amazon product page and you’ll get hooked.
