When rapid innovation turns your world upside down, you have two choices. You can look at it like a storm to be survived, or a sharp curve in a racetrack to lean into. The winning strategy in the Age of AI is to choose to get behind the wheel and drive it. In my life, I’ve made the decision to be a driver, not a complainer or a spectator. I’ve made that decision twice, and it’s made a world of difference in my career. Now, as we embark on a turning point in technological (and human) history, I share the valuable lessons I’ve learned and actionable ways you can set yourself up for success in this new AI age.

“AI is no longer a tool. It’s integrated into how we work; it’s a business imperative.” These are wise words recently spoken by our CMO, Sydney Sloan, who opened this year’s G2 Reach event by inviting C-suite executives, go-to-market (GTM) leaders, and innovative strategists across B2B SaaS to discuss the transformative role of AI in today’s business environment.

Consumer behavior is undergoing a massive shift as generative AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and TikTok begin to reshape the traditional search funnel. It is perhaps the largest shift in the history of the Internet since its conception. We’re moving from keyword-driven queries to AI-curated answers, and this transition is rewriting the rules of digital discovery.

Welcome to our “AI Innovators” series, where we dive deep into conversations with visionary leaders pushing artificial intelligence’s boundaries. We are thrilled to feature Tim Sanders, Vice President of Research Insights at G2. With a career spanning pivotal roles in digital transformation, Tim has been at the vanguard of technological innovation, from helping broadcast platforms go mainstream to steering strategies at Yahoo. Now, his focus is firmly set on the limitless possibilities of AI, making him an invaluable voice in the field.

What if mastering artificial intelligence didn’t require becoming a technical expert? The AI revolution in B2B isn’t unfolding quite like anyone predicted. With billion-dollar investments and constant innovation, it looked like it would be a complex battlefield. Yet, the real revelation? Mastering AI might be simpler than we thought.

Whenever the topic of the 1980s creative resurgence of Deep Ellum is written or talked about, names like Russell Hobbs, Jeff Liles, Jeff Swaney, and many others are all often rightfully mentioned in the same breath. One of the other figures who made a lasting impact on the scene is Dallas musician and tech futurist Tim Sanders. As a musician with The Affirmative, Cairo, and Code 4, and also as booking agent at the Theatre Gallery and Prophet Bar in the 80s, Sanders forged a mindset among musicians that took him well beyond Deep Ellum alone, and into Silicon Valley and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
